There was a point in time, probably in 1988, when vinyl records outsold CDs. That time may come again, as CD sales plummet in the wake of digital downloads (both legal and illegal), but vinyl sales are on the rise with audiophiles who know that the sound quality of mp3s blows domkeys.
My prediction is the winter of 2011-2012 when the growth curves for each format reconverge. Thoughts?
