Happy birthday to Chris Martin of Coldplay. He turns 35 today.

Tom Morello  fans have a chance to hear him in a unique setting as part of the songwriters circle. He’s teamed up with Steve Earle and Diana Jones. Hear them March 11 on BBC4.

Warner Brothers is creating original shows for their new  online channel, called The Warner Sound. Your favorite WB artists could be starring in a quirky skit soon at the labels’ You Tube Channel.

Jody Stephens along with members of R.E.M. and the dBs will join together to perform Big Star’s Third in its entirety at SXSW.

In other SXSW news The Magnetic Fields will make their first-ever appearance at the conference on March 15.

At the NME Awards this week, Johnny Marr said he’d reunite The Smiths if the government steps down. Sounds like we have a long wait.
