Sure, there could be an interesting psychological exposition of any band that chooses to name themselves Failure. And, sure, taking on that moniker sets up a legion of jokes. But, as their all-star roster of associated acts (Veruca Salt, Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, Autolux) — and these photos — indicate, the regrouped Los Angeles band has achieved — at least — a modicum of success.
