The XX have posted the demo version of “Open Eyes” on their website. It’s a song they recorded while working on their new album.

Weezer have posted a holiday treat on their FB page. It’s live video of them doing “Long Time Sunshine”, a song they never put on any album.

Van Halen will tour in 2012 and David Lee Roth is singing according to the LA Times. The first tickets are on sale January 10th.

Wilco sat down for a 30 minute interview with their hometown station, WXRT, at the band’s Loft studio. Jeff Tweedy says the band has never been interested in being categorized as “alt rock” and thinks of themselves in more broad terms as a pop or rock band.

Pat Ferrise grew up loving ”the punk rock” and “new wave.” His years at one of the nation’s top college radio stations ultimately led him to a 15-year run as music director of alternative music icon WHFS Washington/Baltimore. Rolling Stone magazine named him of the most influential programmers of the 90s. He’s recorded two albums under the moniker Trampoline for the now defunct SpinArt label. He lives in Baltimore and takes no credit for writing this bio.
