Music Roundup: Pearl Jam Tour With X, Green Day’s B-Day Song to Metallica

Pearl Jam have announced they will headline three European festivals and six of their own shows in June and July of  2012. LA punk vets X will be the support act for all Pearl Jam’s own headlining shows. Roadtrip?

Cee Lo Green was in Washington DC yesterday, along with several other artists, taping  Christmas in Washington, for TNT.  The President and First Family were on hand and  Conan O’brien hosted.  Look for it to air December 16th.

Pandora is launching a series of free shows, by invitation, and based on their listener’s taste. The first one is tomorrow in Portland, Oregon with the  band Dawes.

Meg White, of the White Stripes, turned 37 over the weekend.  Today is Frank Sinatra’s birthday, he would have been 96.

Green Day have posted a video of them covering the Misfits’ “Hybrid Moments” in honor of Metallica‘s 30th birthday at their website.
