Coachella 2012 Lineup Announced: Radiohead, Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, Headline

Well it is still uncertain how the folks at Coachella pulled it off but they have announced their lineup…the SAME lineup for 2 successive weekends in April and it’s with some MAJOR headliners. The logistics boggle the mind.

Radiohead, The Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, Bon Iver, Flo and the Machine and Dr. Dre are the heavy hitters but there is no shortage of maybe lesser known but still big fan favorites: M83, The Weeknd, Wild Flag, Grace Potter, Laura Marling, Beirut, AWOLNATION, Gary Clark Jr., Real Estate, GIRLS, Horrors, Deerhunter, Noel Gallagher and His High Flying Birds, Yuck, Kasabian, Feist and MANY others that I am sure I will get pummeled for not mentioning.

The trend of electronica/dance music acts at festivals (something not really seen until recent years) continues with Flying Lotus, SBTRKT and Girl Talk.

The full lineup will soon be available at the official Coachella site www.coachella.com. Tickets go on sale Friday 10am. Who the hell knows what the deal with sales will be. Last years’ single weekend sold out in a matter of hours. Thus, there are now 2 weekends with, from everything we are told, the exact same lineup. Again, how the hell…aw never mind.

The experiment that is Coachella 2012 will take place at The Empire Polo Grounds in Indio (Palm Springs), Ca. on April 13-15 AND April 20-22.

Why do I feel deep down in my musical soul that I will make the decision to be there BOTH weekends…see you at the music!- CLEM

Clem emerged from the underbelly of NashVegas where he began his love of ALL things musical. College found him in the commercial music program at the University of Miami where he actually learned what the hell he was doing. New York was next and whether he “made it there” is still up for debate. From playing in the honky-tonks of Nashville and the dance clubs of Miami to Broadway and theatrical stages around the country, to Carnegie Hall (while practicing one day somebody told him how to get there) and the recording studios of New York and L.A., Clem’s variety of musical experience has transcended the boundaries of genre. He owns a production company, lectures on music in colleges across the country and is on the visiting faculty of Elon Univ. He has a port-o-johns named after him at Bonnaroo, Coachella and Lollapalooza.
