Brooklyn’s Frankie Rose is the Kevin Bacon of indie rock. Only with Miss Rose, the degrees of separation are surely less than six. The number of bands with which she’s been associated are many, and include Dum Dum Girls, Vivian Girls, and a non-girl-named band, Crystal Stilts. She’s performed with legions of others, including Small Black. She has been going it alone for a while, now, and Weeping Elvis fought through weather and traffic to photograph a bit of her recent set at Washington, D.C.’s 9:30 Club opening for White Lies.
